Seville, Spain - August 12, 2011: Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See (Catedral de Santa María de la Sede) also known as Seville Cathedral and its bell tower called La Giralda. In this place a mosque and a minaret were built during the Berber Almohad period in Spain. After the town was conquered by Christians, during the Reconquista period, the mosque was transformed in a church and the minaret in a belltower. The present gothic and baroque Cathedral was built between 1402 and 1506 after an eathquake damaged the old church. Some tourists walking in the square.
