Let me state again, you aren't the only developer out there. Everyone else has played by the rules and posted in the appropriate forum, why can't you?

You got nearly a week of Discussion Forum time. I can assure you it's more than anyone else has gotten. If the thread was filled with Buyers asking about the software we would be in a different place. However, we are on page 2 and you are already talking about your contributor centric software so it seems like you are using this thread for more than just your initial offering.

Yes true, but at only two options for dpi. I suppose it's easy enough to do a rough calculation in ones head, but I like to do things more preceisly to prevent errors. I think others make errors too sometimes. When selling pics I've had files returned on occasion and notice that the same file is then purchased at a larger size. I assume someone bought the file too small to start with.

hahaha, neeee neeee, lass mal stecken . Die Vettaslots taste ich schon seit Monaten nicht mehr an, nachdem die zuletzt akzeptierten Files außer keinen Downloads, nicht viel neues brachten, während sich der Rest der Serie gut verkauft.

Dann kam so ein großartiger Inspektor drauf, er muss noch zwei aus der Serie die längst schon online waren und viele DLs hatten in  Agency verwandeln. Was soll ich sagen, die waren auf der Stellt tot.


Könnte das der Grund sein, warum Du sie los werden möchtest?

J'ai déjà été dans ce cas et une fois j'ai fait acheté l'image par l'entreprise...une autre fois c'était une image que je venais de télécharger gratuitement,que je n'avais pas encore utilisée et je l'ai utilisée pour une entreprise pour laquelle je travaillais à l'époque. c'est vrai que je me suis posée la question....

When I submitted my sample photos to I-Stock this is one of the ones I submitted. It said all my images met I-Stocks Tenical and commercial standerds. However when I re uploaded it the emailed me with the following response below.


 


"We regret to inform you that we cannot accept your submission, entitled The Doors ( https://i.istockimg.com/file_thumbview_approve/20234004/2/stock-photo-20234004-the-doors.jpg) for addition to the iStockphoto library for the following reasons:

We found the overall composition of this file's lighting could be improved. Some of the technical aspects that can all limit the usefulness of a file are:

-Flat/dull colors
-Direct on-camera flash and/or flash fall-off (bright subject, dark background)
-Harsh lighting with blown-out highlights that lack details and/or distracting shadows
- Distracting lens flares
-Incorrect white balance"


 


Does anyone have any suggestions? By the way it was shot with all natural light and edited in Light room and CS5.

 It's the only way we could bring ourselves to phtographing him - not as intimidating  :)

If you had added Hummer as a KW back in 08 it would've been a legacy KW at the time. Since then with the advent of editorial content some of these legacy terms have been moved into new spots in the iStock CV. That said, Hummer should've been batched out of your file. I've since removed the KW Hummer from file #7275039.


Just to clarify: Were Liwi Bird, Forked Togue and High Metabolism KWs you originally submitted or were these added later? 

Thanks for the info. I have mailed Getty a couple of times about submitting sports images to them, but I they didn't bother to reply. Is there a shortcut for iStock exclusives to get in contact with Getty?

I wonder if the stats are too negative to be shared here??

I am not sure what your budget is, but I'd look into the new D3200 24MP camera. $699 (Capable of XXXL here)

If you can afford D600 which looks to be lower priced full frame sensor camera(I'm guessing around $2k or lower), I'd work with D3200 now and when D600 is available, sell D3200 and move to D600. You can probably get $500 easy if you sell it by end of the year.

There's an option to get used D700, but honestly, I think D600 would be better camera for money considering a used D700 still goes around 2K.

I'm still waiting for my D800 camera and have sold 5D mark II and got Sony NEX-7. My lastest 30 images are shot with it. It's a nice camera at such small camera. I'm pretty happy with the image quality, and so far non got rejected.
